Bishop Pens Lenten Devotion Series

“Unlikely Neighbors,” a daily Lenten devotion series written by Bishop Jeff Barrow and sponsored by Outreach for Hope’s “Dollar a Day for Poverty” program uses Jesus’ Good Samaritan story as this year’s backdrop.

Icon1Lect15C“This year, as we ponder the question, ‘Who is my neighbor?’ perhaps many of the reflections will be about those who might be considered unlikely neighbors,” Bishop Jeff writes in his preface.

To receive the Lenten devotions each morning via e-mail, go to the Outreach for Hope web site, http://www.outreachforhope.org, and fill out the information on the home page in the right hand column to subscribe. If you received the Outreach for Hope devotions last year by email, you should already be subscribed. However, you can double check by registering again. The system will recognize if your email address is already included.

A number of copies are also available in the narthex.

We encourage you to add to your daily devotion Lenten practice, by including a Dollar a Day for Poverty. At the end of the 40 days, your gifts can be sent to Outreach for Hope to support the churches and ministries in the Greater Milwaukee Synod which bring life-giving Hope to the low income communities they serve.
