Ӕbleskiver brunch

aebleskiver-smEmmaus will host an æbleskiver brunch after the worship service on Sunday, March 2. Ӕbleskiver are a Danish breakfast treat like a pancake but fluffier like a popover and more spherical, about the size of a tennis ball. The name comes from the original recipe including slices of apple inside (æble is the Danish word for “apple”), but they are usually made without apple slices nowadays. They are typically served with drizzled powdered sugar, or jam, or syrup. (And, since we’re Lutheran, a cup of coffee.)

Please sign up on the sheet in the St. Andrew narthex so that we can be sure to have enough for everybody!

The æbleskiver brunch is being held in conjunction with the Green Team/Cool Congregation initiative.
